To advance women in medicine and improve women's health through our efforts in the Los Angeles and California area. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances in our community.

Our members are women physicians, medical students and physicians-in-training who live or work in the Los Angeles County area. We encourage our members to also be members of our National organization, the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA).
Our members meet at local meetings in the Los Angeles area. We plan these meetings to include medical and topical information of interest to our members in both their personal and professional lives.
We have an active Board of Directors. Physicians who are interested in becoming more involved with our organization can inquire at the next General Meeting or contact our President, Violet Boodaghians, MD for the time of the next Board meeting.
